no news = good news?

Still no word from the Tx schools. I keep trying to tell myself no news is good news and I just need to be patient. But I am not a very patient person. Actually going to get the mail every day now, most of the time Dan and I will check it once, maybe twice a week.

After actually looking at the sample test for Pbody in lesson last week, I have decided I will freak out a little less and actually work hard to prepare. Because freaking out never does anyone any good.

I am so proud of myself today. I resisted the urge to put a few bars of my orchestra thing into Finale to see how it sounded. It may be a little tough to read since I wrote it by hand (and I suck at lining up eighths and triplets and stuff), but...No more Finale crutch! HA! Hopefully it does work the way I think it does, we'll find out tomorrow...er...later today in lesson.

Computer is still very uncooperative, and apparently it will take some time to fix, but maybe that's a good thing, it certainly does seem to help me take that initiative to compose with pencil, paper, and usually a keyboard.

I really hope my lesson goes well. I think I've prepared well. Certainly better than most of the time. Just got to add some dynamics and listen a little more and I should be set. I hope.
